Now I’m running my old Macbook to juice up my mediacenter. I also bought this wonderful Apple Remote which works like a charm to navigate in Plex, there is no problem to access all menus using the control. This allows me to manage video, photos and music from one place.

As I mentioned in another post I wanted to write a review about the perfect home media center setup. Then I found this video showing exactly that.

Plex is a excellent media center for Mac OS X. Plex has the ability to install a variety of plugins that are available. From now on even spotify is available as one. You need to have a premium account to use the service. I’ll update this post with a review when I’ve tried it myself.
