Ultra cool 3d maps from C3 Technologies

Uncategorized 2 Comments

Many  swedish readers are already  familiar with 3d maps from C3 technologies since hitta.se use their maps. As we know google and other companies show their maps as a flat satellite image. But here you can rotate the world in 3d with every single building in perfect details. I’m sure that google is jealous of C3 becouse of these maps are incredible.

Maps are based on high-resolution photography captured with carefully calibrated cameras. For every picture, the positions and angles of the cameras are calculated with extremely high precision, using an advanced navigation system. This is what enables C3 to give each pixel its geographical position with very high accuracy.

If you wanna rotate around yourself here are some online demos from C3

Google reader

I’ve just discovered that google reader can monitor any webpage it does not need to have an rss feed, although a feed is the best option, you can use it for monitoring any webpage for changes. If the website you add to Google reader does not have a feed you will be asked to create one. According to this note there are some limitations but still a cool feature :) This is a good way to follow changes to any websites without feeds.

I use google reader frequently and here are some of my favorite feeds that I subscribe to:
